Post- & Long-COVID: Holistic therapy approaches at Las Almas

The consequences of a COVID-19 infection can extend far beyond the acute illness. Many affected individuals suffer from so-called post- or long-COVID symptoms weeks or months after infection – often without a clear medical explanation or standardized treatment options. Las Almas We offer an innovative, interdisciplinary therapy concept that addresses both the physical and neuropsychological long-term consequences.

What is Long-COVID / Post-COVID?

Post-COVID describes symptoms that persist for more than four weeks after a COVID infection. If they persist for more than 12 weeks, they are referred to as Long COVIDThe symptoms are diverse and vary greatly from person to person, and frequently mentioned are:

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Memory and concentration problems (“brain fog”)
  • Shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and sleep disorders
  • Depressive moods, anxiety, lack of motivation
  • Loss of smell and taste
  • Neurological complaints and muscle weakness

The Las Almas therapy approach

Our treatment strategy is based on the principle of Hybrid Fast Therapy – a combination of modern neuroscience, evidence-based psychology, and regenerative technology. The following procedures are used in an individually tailored manner:

1. Neurofeedback training (EEG-based)

Targeted neurofeedback improves the brain's self-regulation, promotes recovery, concentration, and emotional stability. This method can lead to significant progress, especially in cases of persistent mental exhaustion or cognitive impairment.

2. rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

This non-invasive method uses magnetic pulses to specifically activate brain areas that may be impaired in long-COVID, such as areas related to attention, mood, and memory. rTMS is considered a promising approach for post-viral syndromes.

3. Hypnagogic Light Experience (Lucia No. 3)

Our special light experience uses pulsating light pulses to create a deeply relaxed state that regulates the autonomic nervous system and activates the body's self-healing powers. Many patients report increased clarity, improved sleep, and emotional relief.

4. Breathing & regulation training (HRV biofeedback)

A trained cardiovascular system promotes stress resistance and inner balance. Through biofeedback, those affected learn to specifically stimulate their vagus nerve—a key to recovery from chronic fatigue.

5. Ketamine-assisted therapy (optionally accompanied by a doctor)

In particularly severe cases of depression, listlessness or trauma, low-dose ketamine in combination with psychotherapeutic support can help to release blockages and accelerate the healing process.

6. Sleep and activity analysis (ActTrust sleep laboratory watch)

Our portable sleep diagnostics enable precise analysis of sleep quality, circadian rhythm, and activity patterns—important factors for recovery. The results flow directly into individualized therapy planning.

Interdisciplinary. Individual. Evidence-based.

Every long COVID course is unique – that’s why we offer personalized therapy planning Our team of psychologists, physicians, neurofeedback specialists, and trainers provides holistic support throughout the therapeutic process.
