Integrative body therapy – stabilization through conscious body awareness
The Integrative body therapy is a holistic approach that understands the body as a direct gateway to emotional, mental, and unconscious processes. Based on modern insights from therapy, neurobiology, and bodywork, it combines mindful body awareness with targeted exercises, manual techniques, and psychotherapeutic support. The goal is to identify and resolve chronic tension, emotional blockages, or psychosomatic complaints in the body's memory.
In the therapeutic process, patients learn:
- above mindful movement and breathing exercisesto feel better again and to calm the nervous system
- through depth psychological bodyworkto recognize and work on emotional tensions in the tissue or posture
- with Touch and manual support to release old stress or protective patterns and to open up new physical experience
- through stabilizing exercisesto promote self-regulation, grounding and inner security
Integrative body therapy understands the human being as a unity of body, mind, and psyche. Symptoms are not treated in isolation but rather considered in the context of biographical, emotional, and physical patterns.
Areas of application
Integrative body therapy can provide support and stabilization for:
- chronic stress and exhaustion
- Anxiety, trauma and somatoform disorders
- physically unexplained complaints (e.g. gastrointestinal problems, dizziness, pain syndromes)
- Tension or posture problems
- Depression and inner emptiness
- Eating disorders or disturbed body image
- Integration processes after therapy or traumatic experience
- Strengthening self-awareness and presence
In our work at Las Almas We integrate body therapy as an integral part of an integrative treatment concept – tailored to the individual's life history, medical diagnosis, and psychotherapeutic goals. The body is viewed not merely as a carrier of symptoms, but as a key to self-stabilization and inner balance.
