Adults go through different phases of life, each with its own set of challenges and stresses. Daily life at work, in relationships, and in society demands continuous adaptation. When psychological resilience weakens, this can lead to profound insecurity and depressive episodes. Reactions to such crises can vary widely.
Life can then be characterized by hopelessness, inner emptiness, and emotional numbness. Many sufferers experience profound sadness and dissatisfaction, withdraw socially, develop self-harming tendencies, or perceive their lives as meaningless. In others, depressive symptoms manifest as severe loss of appetite or other self-destructive behaviors.
Such phases cause considerable suffering and emotional strain for the affected person, as well as for their relatives and social environment. However, even in these severe crises, opportunities can be hidden to develop new perspectives and emerge stronger from the depression.
During such challenging phases of life, having access to neutral, professional support for confidential conversations can be crucial. This creates a safe space to address even the most difficult feelings and thoughts. The goal is to emerge from this therapeutic process feeling stronger. Self-confidence can be restored, and lasting change processes can be initiated.
I place great value on an individually tailored therapeutic approach that does justice to the uniqueness of each person and their specific life situation.
I work in a resource- and solution-oriented manner. I am convinced that the best support lies in promoting existing competencies: the abilities of those affected to cope with their lives despite depression, as well as the competencies of their social environment to offer appropriate support.
It is important to me that you feel comfortable in therapy and can rebuild confidence in your own abilities so that you can experience positive change step by step and find a way out of depression.
